A New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ is an autonomous local congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel; observing the two ordinances of Christ, governed by His laws, exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word, and seeking to extend the gospel to the ends of the earth. God is the source of all blessings, temporal and spiritual; all that we have and are we owe to Him. We believe that the Bible is, in its entirety, the verballyinspiredWord of God. Arabic He honored the divine law by His personal obedience, and in His substitutionary death on the cross He made provision for the redemption of men from sin. All who believe in Him are justifiedon the grounds of His shed blood. It is scriptural for churches to cooperate with each other in defending the faith and for the furthering of the gospel. Realizing the importance, privilege and responsibility of the preaching and teaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, First Baptist Church believes the following: 1. He is the efficient power for godly living, Christian service, and spiritual worship. We believe that Jesus Christ instituted the Lords Supper to commemorate His death until He comes again. Therefore, as soon as they are capable of moral action, they become transgressors and are under condemnation. Section 201 of the United States Copyright Act specifies that the employeris considered the author of a work made for hire, and owns all the rights comprised in the copyright except in cases where the employer and the employee have expressly agreed otherwise in a written instrument signed by them.. We are pitied, protected, provided for, and chastened by God as by a Father. (Genesis 13:14-17; Ezekiel 37; Romans 11:1-32), Section 22: The Rapture and Other Future Events, We believe in the imminent, pre-millennialreturn of Christ for His Church. We commit ourselves to the historical grammatical interpretation of the Scriptures that verify the literal, bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave. It reveals the principles by which God judges us, and therefore is, and will remain to the end of the world, the true center of Christian union, and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions should be tried. At the moment of regeneration He baptizes every believer into the Body of Christ. Being a church ordinance, it is prerequisite to the privileges of church membership and to the Lords Supper. 3. We believe that in order to be saved, sinners must be born again, that the new birth is a new creation in Jesus Christ; that it is instantaneous and not a process; that in the new birth the one dead in trespasses and in sins is made a partaker of the divine nature and receives eternal life, the free gift of God; that the new creation is brought about in a manner above our comprehension, not by culture, not by character, nor by the will of man, but wholly and solely by the power of the Holy Spirit in connection with divine truth, so as to secure our voluntary obedience to the Gospel; that its proper evidence appears in the holy fruits of repentance and faith and newness of life.
